Downloads & Guides
Everything you need to use Refluxter well, in three free guides.
Refluxter works differently from an antacid. It builds a physical alginate raft that floats on top of your stomach contents, so when and how you take it matters as much as how much. These guides walk you through dosing and timing, what to expect week by week, and how to troubleshoot if results are slower than you hoped. All three are free PDFs, no sign-up required.

The Refluxter guides
Read them in order if you're new. If you're already taking Refluxter and something isn't working, skip straight to the Troubleshooting Guide.
Guide 1 · Start here
Refluxter Quick Start Guide
The short version: how many capsules to take, when to take them, and what the first two weeks should feel like. If you read only one guide, make it this one, most early problems come from timing, not dose.
Guide 2 · If something's off
Refluxter Troubleshooting Guide
Symptom-by-symptom fixes for the common snags: results feel slow, nighttime symptoms persist, bloating or changes in bowel habits in the first days, or questions about spacing Refluxter around your other medications.
Guide 3 · The deep dive
The Complete Refluxter Handbook
The full reference. How the alginate raft forms and works, GERD versus LPR (silent reflux), detailed dosing schedules, diet and lifestyle levers, safety and who shouldn't use Refluxter, and the research behind alginate raft therapy.
Which guide should I read?
| If you are… | Read this | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Just opened your first bottle | Quick Start Guide | Gets your dose and timing right from day one |
| A few weeks in, but not seeing what you hoped | Troubleshooting Guide | Diagnoses the usual causes and how to correct them |
| Dealing with silent reflux / LPR symptoms | Complete Handbook | LPR needs a different timeline and a different bedtime routine |
| Taking a PPI or other daily medication | Complete Handbook | Covers medication spacing and how Refluxter fits alongside therapy |
| A healthcare professional | Clinician Handbook | A separate clinical reference, on our For Clinicians page |
The essentials, in 30 seconds
|
Take it after eating 2 capsules with water after meals and/or before bed, up to 8 capsules a day. The raft needs food and stomach acid to form on top of. |
The bedtime dose matters most Take it last, 30 minutes before lying down. This is the single biggest lever for nighttime and throat symptoms. |
Give it time It's a barrier you build through consistent use, not an instant antacid. Judge heartburn at about 2 weeks, and silent reflux at a full 8 weeks. |
|
Space your other medications Take other oral medications and supplements 30–60 minutes before, or about 4 hours after, a Refluxter dose so they aren't caught in the raft. |
Don't eat right after dosing Adding food or drink on top of a freshly formed raft can break it up before it has done its job. |
Early changes are normal Alginate is a soluble fiber, so mild gas, bloating, or a change in bowel habits in the first few days usually settles with fluids and consistency. |
Each of these is expanded, with dosing tables and worked examples, in the guides above.

Are you a healthcare professional?
The guides on this page are written for people taking Refluxter. We publish a separate Refluxter Clinician Handbook, a clinical reference covering mechanism, GERD vs. LPR, dosing, drug spacing, contraindications and the alginate evidence base, along with free practitioner samples. Find both on our For Clinicians page.
